What are antioxidants?
Antioxidants are the defense and repair factors of skin care. They prevent cellular oxidation, which helps us prevent signs of aging.
It is good to get antioxidants internally from the diet, but since the skin gets everything last, it is also good to bind them to the skin from the outside.
Antioxidants protect the skin, neutralizing the damage caused by free oxygen radicals, i.e. skin scavengers.
Oxygen radicals break the electrode of the skin cell atom and cause damage to the cell. Antioxidants give themselves an electrode to the cell, which makes the cell whole again, i.e. repairs the cell.
We get free oxygen radicals e.g. from the sun, smoking, pollution and stress.
What are the different types of antioxidants?
The best antioxidant to protect against free oxygen radicals is vitamin C.
Vitamin C gives the skin energy, brightens and cares for the skin, prevents premature skin aging and also fades pigment changes, i.e. liver spots.
Vitamin C is usually combined with vitamin E so that it gets the best possible effect.
How should I use antioxidants?
Antioxidants can be used on the skin in the morning and in the evening.
Enhance the effect of vitamin C by using vitamin C-containing cleaning products, serums, ampoules and creams. You can start using vitamin C by adding products little by little.
